About the Lived Experience Educator
Bharti Mukherjee is a counselling psychologist, art therapist, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner. Her approach is grounded in a deep commitment to presence, integrity, and precise pacing, which form the foundation of therapeutic work.
Bharti’s work centres on holding space for complex feelings and thoughts. She works with what is tender, tangled, half-formed and still in the process of becoming. She accompanies clients through layered experiences: grief, self-doubt, identity exploration, early childhood wounds, and the quiet work of reconnecting with one’s energy and sense of direction.
Her practice is explicitly rooted in trauma-informed care and queer-affirming therapy. Drawing on Internal Family Systems and art therapy modalities, she works responsively, tuning into each person’s unique pace and process. Her therapeutic work is based on the principle that healing is not about rushing toward resolution but about creating spaciousness for what needs to be seen, felt, and integrated.
For Bharti, the therapy space where distress can soften, and where transformation becomes possible slowly, safely, and within the therapeutic relationship. Her work is guided by the understanding that lasting change unfolds not through instruction, but through gentle witness, collaborative wayfinding and presence.
